VS Business Inc. (“the Company”) is a commercial enterprise formed in 2021 to provide reliable shipping
services for FedEx as an independent service provider in North Carolina.
BUSINESS DESCRIPTION
The Company provides FedEx Ground and FedEx Home Delivery services to businesses and residences
within the 27591 (Wendell) and 27597 (Zebulon) zip codes. VS Business’s trucks operate from a FedEx
station in Knightdale (Station 00271) where they are loaded each morning. The Company’s drivers are
dispatched for delivery on an average of 13 daily routes throughout the territory. VS Business upholds
FedEx’s strict standards, delivering packages with consistency and expediency.
IMPLEMENTATION PLAN AND TIMELINE
VS Business began operating in 2021 with six trucks to service the 27597 (Zebulon) zip code. In January
2025, the Company expanded to add the 27591 (Wendell) territory, which required new employees and
additional trucks. The Company now intends to make an additional investment in the business to upgrade
its fleet (thereby reducing the cost of repairs and maintenance and minimizing its reliance on rental
vehicles during peak periods) and to add additional staff hours as needed to support rising demand from
growth in its service area.
MARKET OPPORTUNITY
The Company’s Contracted Service Area is situated within North Carolina's Research Triangle region.
Located within a 30-minute drive of Raleigh and its major universities and employers, Wendell and Zebulon
are both formerly small towns that are now experiencing explosive growth. Between 2020 and 2024, the
populations of Wendell and Zebulon grew 71% and 51.9%, respectively, and currently both towns have
new residential developments under construction that will attract new residents. The Company’s service
area currently comprises more than 1,388 businesses, 66,600 residents, 25,200 households, with median
disposable income (a key indicator of parcel delivery demand) approximately 12% higher the national
average. Over the next five years, an additional 9,500 residents and 4,053 households will be added to
these two zip codes. The growth in the population, combined with the continued overall growth of
ecommerce, will result in steady and continued growth in demand for delivery services.
MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP
Pragna Sheladiya owns and operates VS Business. As President, she has overseen the daily operations of
the Company since its inception in 2021. Ms. Sheladiya regularly communicates and attends meetings with
FedEx, as well as oversees management staff to ensure efficient routes and customer satisfaction. She has
a strong background in financial oversight, compliance, and strategic growth. Under her leadership, VS
Business has expanded its routes and personnel. Ms. Sheladiya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Biotechnology from Saurashtra University.
